Chancellor has turned 20! Here’s how we celebrated our milestone birthday
20 years. Two whole decades. Countless cups of tea and coffee, plenty of hard work, a few challenges along the way, and more than a few reasons to celebrate.
At the end of May, we marked Chancellor’s 20th anniversary, and it felt like the perfect opportunity to look back on the journey that has brought us here. What started 20 years ago has grown into the business we know and love today, thanks to the incredible people who have been part of it along the way – our clients, partners, and, of course, our fantastic team.
Special congratulations to Janet!
This year also marks an amazing milestone for Janet, who is celebrating 20 years with Chancellor. That’s right, Janet has been here since day one. While the world has changed quite a bit over the last 20 years, Janet’s dedication and professionalism have remained unwavering.
Janet, thank you for everything you’ve done over the last two decades – and congratulations on your own 20th anniversary!
Supporting the Osborne Trust
Turning 20 felt like the perfect excuse to do some good as well as have some fun, so we made a donation to the Osborne Trust, a charity that supports children and young people whose parents are undergoing cancer treatment.
The charity holds a special place in our hearts, having been founded by a close friend of Linsey from our administration team. The work they do helping families through incredibly difficult times is truly inspiring, and we were proud to support them as part of our celebrations.
Now, onto the celebrations.
To mark the occasion, we packed up our competitive spirits and headed to Manchester for a day of team activities. Armed with varying levels of confidence and questionable sporting ability, we took on axe throwing, pool, darts, mini golf, and shuffleboard.
Some people discovered hidden talents. Others discovered talents they definitely don’t possess.
There were surprise victories, dramatic defeats, and plenty of laughter along the way.
The axe-throwing competition produced not one champion, but two. Emma proudly took the title for one of the teams, displaying a level of precision that left the rest of us both impressed and slightly concerned. Target after target fell victim to her remarkable aim, earning her some well-deserved bragging rights.
Not to be outdone, Vicki claimed victory for the other team, posting the highest score of the day and reminding us all just how strong she is. Between them, Emma and Vicki dominated the competition and gave the rest of us something to aspire to for next time.
Meanwhile, the darts competition saw Matt and Rebecca emerge as our undisputed champions. We’re still not entirely sure whether it was natural talent, nerves of steel, or just a very good day, but they proved a difficult duo to beat.
Pool was another story altogether. While many gave it their best shot, we discovered that Joanna should probably avoid pursuing any professional pool ambitions! It looks like she’ll be keeping her day job for a little while longer!
After all the excitement, we rounded off the day with food, drinks, and a chance to relax together. It was the perfect way to celebrate not only how far the business has come, but also the people who make Chancellor what it is.

Twenty years is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of, but we’re not spending too long looking in the rear-view mirror. We’re excited about what’s ahead, committed to continuing to support our clients, and looking forward to making even more memories together over the years to come.
